NCAA favorite Ofili runs the fastest time to qualify for the SEC Championships 200m final

Favour Ofili of Nigeria extended her dominance on the SEC circuit, setting the quickest overall time in the 200m at the SEC Championships. Favour Ofili is back on track, clocking the quickest overall time of 22.58 seconds (1.7 seconds) to reach the 200m final at the South Eastern Conference (SEC) Championships.The outstanding sprinter from Louisiana State University (LSU) won her heat from lane 9 ahead of University of Florida's Talitha Diggs in 22.68 seconds to lead the qualifiers in the event.Ofili is the favorite to retain her championship since she is expected to go quicker in the final. Last year, she won the sprint double in 10.93 seconds and 22.02 seconds. Though she hasn't had a perfect start to the outdoor season, after sustaining a suspected injury at the end of her record-breaking indoor season, Ofili is still capable of dominating the event in the final.
