Dauntless Sifan Hassan wins the London Marathon over an excellent field

Sifan Hassan stunned an elite marathon field by winning the London Marathon in 2023. She is currently known as the athlete with the greatest range in sports history. Sifan Hassan, a double Olympic winner, upset the deepest women's marathon field in history by winning the London Marathon in 2:18:34. Hassan stopped twice in the first hour, during mile 12, to stretch her quad/hip and trailed by 12 seconds at 20km, but made a remarkable recovery in a sprint finish to win the race.
