NBA Pau Gasol, Dwyane Wade, and Dirk Nowitzki head the 2023 Basketball Hall of Fame Class

Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, and Pau Gasol are among the legends inducted into the 2023 Basketball Hall of Fame. NBA legends Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, and Pau Gasol will be among the 12 players elected into the 2023 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Wade and Nowitzki are perhaps the two greatest players in the history of their respective organizations. During the 2006–07 season, Nowitzki became the first and only Mavericks player to win the MVP title. He spent his whole 21-year career in Dallas, where in 2010–11 he defeated Wade and the Heat to win the NBA championship. Nowitzki is the sixth-highest scorer in NBA history with 31,560 points in his career. His 12 All-NBA team selections tie him for eighth place among all players. Wade guided the Heat to their first championship in team history in the 2006 NBA Finals by defeating Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks. He worked with Chris Bosh and LeBron James to win two more titles in 2012 and 2013. Wade played for the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers briefly during his career, but the Miami Heat are the team with which he is most closely connected. He is the club's all-time leader in games played (948), points (21,556), assists (5,310), and steals (1,492).
