Miramar Invitational: How Sha'Carri Richardson stole the spotlight despite not competing

The attention was on Sha'Carri Richardson despite not competing at the much anticipated Miramar Invitational on Saturday, April 6. Richardson was originally scheduled to compete in the 100 and 200 metres but withdrew two days prior to the meet. Richardson still made an appearance and predictably stole the show. Interestingly, what stood out most about Richardson that made her steal the limelight was her act of sportsmanship to a Jamaican rival Shashalee Forbes, who pulled up injured mid-race in the women's 100-meter final. It's interesting to note that Richardson's most memorable moment came when she showed sportsmanship to her Jamaican competitor Shashalee Forbes, who had to withdraw from the women's 100-meter final due to injury. The fastest woman in the world and her teammate Tee Tee Terry assisted Forbes in leaving the track, and the spectators cheered their modest gesture. Her fame and influence cannot be over-emphasized, and whether she competes or not, wherever she makes an appearance, the spotlight will always be on her name. The American speedster will now focus on officially making her season's debut in the 200m event at the Xiamen Diamond League on April 20th.
