After failing a drug test, a Jamaican Olympic medallist might be banned for four years

Ronald Levy of Jamaica is said to have tested positive for two illegal drugs. Ronald Levy, the bronze medallist in the 110m hurdles at the Tokyo Olympics, might be suspended for four years after his B sample test revealed the presence of two prohibited substances. On November 2, the Jamaica Anti-doping Commission, or JADCO, notified the speed hurdler from Jamaica that the WADA lab in Canada had found negative analytical results on his A sample from his Out of Competition (OCT) test. Levy rejected these results and requested a test be performed on his B sample, which has since returned positive. The two prohibited medications, GW 501516-SULFONE and GW 501516-SULFOXIDE, which are on the WADA banned list, are allegedly detected in trace amounts in the sample and help reduce triglycerides quickly.
