Beginning in March 2024, BAL will have its fourth season in South Africa

As part of the New Kalahari Conference, BAL will play a record 48 games in four countries, including the first-ever BAL games in South Africa. The enlarged fourth season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) will begin in March 2024 in South Africa, the league said today.The top 12 club teams from 12 African nations will compete in a record 48 games over four months in four different African nations: South Africa, Egypt, Senegal, and Rwanda. This will be the first time the league has played in four different nations and in South Africa specifically.BAL President Amadou Gallo Fall said, “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in the BAL’s fourth season and allow more fans to experience the excitement of this historic league, including the first BAL games in South Africa where there is already strong affinity for the game.
