Divine Oduduru: AIU slams former Nigerian champion with 6 years ban for attempted use of prohibited substances

The AIU has formally suspended Divine Oduduru for the attempted use of a prohibited substance from actively competing in athletics. Divine Oduduru, the holder of the 200-meter record for Nigeria, was given a six-year suspension by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for attempting to use drugs that were illegal.Oduduru was initially placed on a temporary suspension by the AIU in February due to his alleged involvement as "Athlete 2" in Blessing Okagbare's doping controversy case. The AIU then made a statement on their website, claiming that Oduduru had been informed of "two potential Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs)" and that they were requesting a six-year suspension for the athlete.
