Stop age-discrimination in sports by imitating Tobi Amusan, urges Yusuf Alli

The Youth Games, which are for kids under 15, will take place from September 20 to 30 in Asaba, Delta State. Former African long-distance champion Yusuf Alli, who is now the chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, has argued that Nigerian athletes must stop lying about their ages if they want to compete and succeed internationally. Alli, who still holds the national long jump record of 8.27 meters, was commenting in response to allegations that certain states were utilizing competitors who were too old to compete in the seventh National Youth Games, which are currently taking place.
