ATHLETICS Diamond League debut for Ferdinand Omanyala is confirmed for this year

Ferdinand Omanyala, the Commonwealth Champion, announced his attendance at Diamond League events this year but declined to say where his debut will take place. Kenya's top 100-meter sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala has announced that he will compete in Diamond League events this season. The World Championships in Oregon, the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the African Championships in Mauritius, and a few meets in Europe were Omanyala's primary events. Omanyala had a breakout year in 2022, although he has never competed at a Diamond League meet. He has now confirmed he will be part of the 2023 Diamond League season via a Twitter post by Kenya's leading journalist Lynne Wachira.
