14 Nigerian boxers set for Africa’s Paris 2024 Olympics Qualifying Bouts

Africa's Olympic qualifying bouts for Paris 2024 are scheduled to take place in Dakar, Senegal, from September 6–16. The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) reports that 14 Nigerian boxers have started training for Africa's Paris 2024 Olympics Qualifying Bouts. The 14 boxers from seven weight divisions are camped at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, according to NBF Secretary General Dapo Akinyele.The federation's mandate, according to Akinyele, was to ensure that Nigeria qualified for the boxing games in Paris in 2024. He said, “We have a mandate to ensure that we are in the Olympics this time around after we missed out of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan. We have gathered our best athletes for this camp and we expect results from them.
