The AIU replies to the disciplinary tribunal's clearing of Tobi Amusan. The chairman of the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), Brett Clothier, expressed his displeasure with the Disciplinary Tribunal's finding that Tobi Amusan had not violated any anti-doping rules (ADRV). A panel of the Disciplinary Tribunal, according to a news statement from the AIU, ruled that Amusan had not violated the ADRV of three whereabouts failures during a 12-month period.In reaction, Clothier expressed his displeasure and said that he would consider using his right to file an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). "The AIU is dissatisfied by the ruling and will carefully examine the justification before determining whether to utilize its right to appeal to the CAS by the due date. The decision is currently private, but will be made public when the time comes, according to Clothier's statement in the release.The World Record holder and Olympic champion can now compete at the World Championships in Budapest, which begin on Saturday, August 17, after the temporary suspension has been removed with immediate effect. Amusan is once again the favorite to retain her global championship, and if she does, she will become the first double world champion in Nigerian history.
