Nigerian athletes in the Budapest World Athletics Championships are medal contenders

Here are the top medal contenders in the World Championships in Budapest, based on Nigerian athletes' prospects of winning medals and their consistency this year. The most anticipated sports event of the year, the World Championships in Budapest, will feature the top athletes from across the world fighting for the title of world champions from August 19–27. The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) will send a 26-member squad, which will include 11 male and 15 female athletes, to compete in the Hungarian capital. Nigeria is not left out of this endeavor. Based on the likelihood that Nigerian competitors would win medals and their consistency this year, these are the top medal contenders at the World Championships in Budapest. The World Championships, the most awaited sporting event of the year, will take place in Budapest from August 19–27 and will feature the best athletes in the world competing for the title of world champion. Eleven male and fifteen female athletes will be sent by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) to compete in the Hungarian capital.
