Nigeria 68 - 77 Mali: D'Tigers crash out of Olympic pre-qualifying with disappointing defeat

The Nigerian D'Tigers were eliminated from the 2023 FIBA Olympic Pre-qualifying competition after suffering their second straight loss, this time to Mali. Nigeria won't play basketball at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 because the D'Tigers lost in the preliminary round.After losing 93-87 to Senegal in their opening group game, the D'Tigers suffered a scandalous 68-77 defeat to Mali, which sealed their fate and eliminated them from the 2023 FIBA Olympic pre-qualifying competition. After two poor games, Nigeria has officially forfeited the tournament being held in Lagos at the Eko Convention Center and will not be participating in the Olympics in 2024.
