The Nigerian men's 4x100m relay team has qualified for the World Championships in Budapest on a provisional basis. After an amazing performance at the Warri Relays, Team Nigeria's men's 4x100m relay squad has won provisional qualifying to the World Championships in Budapest. Favour Ashe, Kanyinsola Ajayi, Alaba Akintola, and Godson Brume won the men's 4x100m in 38.26 seconds, moving them up to joint 14th in the world. This is the quickest time by a Nigerian sprint relay four since Olusoji Fasuba, Uchenna Emedolu, Aaron Egbele, and Deji Aliu recorded 38.23 seconds to earn a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.With the time in Warri, Nigeria is now tied for 13th on the top list with Kenya, securing their spot in Budapest.
