World University Games: UNILAG Charges team Nigeria to go for Victory in China

The World University Games will be held in Chengdu, China, from July 28 to August 8. Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has charged Team Nigeria to win the World University Games. The World University Games will be held in Chengdu, China, from July 28 to August 8.Ogunsola made the accusations while receiving UNILAG representatives in China at her office on the Senate House's 8th floor. The University Games will be represented by Ayuba Daniel Ikko-Allah, Oyeniyi Kehinde Oreoluwa, and Thovoethin Sewekan Oluwasegun. At the trials in Benin, Edo State, the trio was chosen alongside other Nigerian team representatives. During the NUGA Games organized by the University of Lagos in 2022, the trio earned gold medals in their respective sports categories of table tennis men's single, table tennis ladies, and 400M.Mr. Ayuba, Miss Kehinde, and Mr. Oluwasegun will compete in Table Tennis and Athletics for the country, respectively. They are scheduled to depart for China on July 25, 2023, and return on August 11, 2023.
