 Major meets in Canada have been confirmed for Ibadin and Olatoye

Edose Ibadin and Sade Olaatoye will compete in their respective events at the Edmonton Invitational in Canada. On Sunday, two Nigerian athletes will compete in the Edmonton Invitational in Canada. Top of the list is Edose Ibadin, the country's top middle-distance runner, who is still vying for a spot in the World Championships in Budapest.The Nigerian 800m record holder took a break and only returned to elite racing this season, where he has been setting outstanding times.He'll be attempting to improve on his Season Best (SB) of 1:45.49 and Personal Best (PB) of 1:44.81 in order to beat the automatic qualifying level of 1:44.70 for Budapest. As a result, Sade Olatoye has been selected to compete in the women's hammer throw.The Nigerian champion has had a string of formidable performances this season, throwing over the 69m mark thrice.Olatoye will be aiming to go above the 70m mark for the first time in her career, which will hopefully be enough to boost her spot on the world ranking for a ticket to Budapest.The duo are expected to be in the country for the Nigerian trials, where they will have another chance of boosting their performances this season.
