Karsten Warholm makes a comeback in Oslo with Diamond League Record

Karsten Warholm of Norway returned to winning ways, setting a Diamond League record in Oslo. Karsten Warholm won the 400m Hurdles Diamond League Record (DLR) in 46.52 seconds in front of his home fans in Oslo. The Norwegian and World Record holder remained unaffected from the start, going all out across the 10 hurdles in his usual style to cross the finish line in the fifth fastest time in history. CJ Allen finished second in a Personal Best (PB) of 47.38s, while Wilfried Happio finished third in a Season's Best of 48.13s. With this performance, Warholm has cemented his position as the favorite to retain his world title in Budapest.Speaking after the race, Warholm said he knew he was going to run something special and said he can lower his World Record this year. "It was a race I will always remember - I felt really good today and knew something special was coming. Today shows in the right circumstances, I can really attack the world record, maybe even this year."
