Nigerian actor Saint Obi dies after prolonged illness

The veteran Nollywood actor passed away after a protracted illness.Saint Obi, a well-known Nollywood actor and film director, died at the age of 57 after a protracted illness.According to several reports on the evening of Saturday, May 13, 2023, the thespian died earlier in the week from an unidentified ailment. There are rumors that a feud within the deceased's family prevented the notification of his death from being made public.According to sources, the actor's remains have been placed at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). Saint Obi, born Obinna Nwafor, made his acting debut in 1996 after appearing in a Peugeot TV commercial on NTA. He went on to play leading roles in a number of blockbuster films.He appeared in more than 100 movies including Sakobi: the Snake Girl, Festival of Fire, State of Emergency, and other popular films that defined his brilliant acting career.
