Burna Boy breaks a YouTube record by appearing on Sidhu Moose Wala's posthumous single "Mera Na."

Nigerian megastar Burna Boy has set a new record for the most YouTube streams in the first 24 hours of a Nigerian artist's release. Sidhu Moose Wala was a Punjabi artist whose success in Canada and the United Kingdom paved the way for Indian musicians to achieve mainstream success. In May 2022, the rapper, singer, and songwriter was shot and killed. Navkaran Brar directed and edited the music video, which depicts Sidhu's enormous fame and how his fans continue to pay tribute to him. A snippet of the video also shows Canadian rapper Drake wearing a T-shirt with Sidhu's portrait printed on it.The song, released on April 7th, 2023, has been an instant hit, garnering over 14.9 million views on Youtube within 24 hours, with over 2 million 'likes' and one million comments.
