'Shanty Town' wins best movie of 2023 at Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards

Several stakeholders in the entertainment industry were recognized for their achievements with BON awards.Shanty Town by Dimeji Ajibola and Underbelly by Toka Mcbaror were the top winners of the 2023 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, which were held on Friday night in Osogbo.According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Shanty Town took home the biggest prize of the evening—Movie of the Year—at the BON awards, which recognized a variety of entertainment industry participants for their efforts between August 2022 and August 2023. In addition to winning the Best Actor in a Leading Role (English) Oscar, Shanty Town's film starring Ajibola also won the Best Actress Oscar. In addition, Shanty Town won Best Use of Makeup and Best Actress of the Year in a Supporting Role.
