Idris Elba and Mo Abudu team up to support African storytellers

The two are creating a collaborative television and film development slate and providing new talent with entry points into the business. Through their respective production companies, EbonyLife Media and Green Door Pictures, media mogul Mo Abudu (Fifty, Oloture, Blood Sisters, A Sunday Affair) and actor Idris Elba (Luther, Beasts of No Nation, The Suicide Squad) are working together to empower and uplift talent from Africa and the Diaspora. The collaboration seeks to increase capability and promote real representation in upcoming international film and television projects. According to the founder of EbonyLife Media, joining forces with Elba "We think that Africa has the skills and the tales to enthrall the entire world. Our goal is to provide our graduates with the greatest possible professional training, guidance, and production opportunities so they can make significant contributions to the global media scene. We intend to get started right away and investigate the best that African and Black stories have to offer to audiences around the world."
