In the photographs, the celebrities could be seen lounging by a pool in soft robes and beaming broadly. The comment section of the photo with the description ""Summer selfie is totally summering with my Sis's"" brought smiles to the actress's fans who were glad to see Genevieve enjoying a good time. Since the end of 2023, Genevieve has maintained a private existence and has sometimes posted on social media. When she started posting cryptic messages on her Instagram story, her admirers and supporters started to worry about her welfare. She then quickly erased all of her feed posts and unfollowed everyone. Following that, there were rumours that she was having mental health issues, which led to the fans and well-wishers praying for her return. Even better, in July 2023 she posted yet another selfie to her Instagram story, thus giving her fans and supporters further reassurance that she was doing well. Now the filmmaker is returning to the Nollywood scene for the first time after being away for five years.
