Yoruba epic movies are resurfacing everywhere, and I adore them

Yoruba epic movies are once more pouring down after a protracted period in the wilderness.Nothing on television, in my opinion, could be greater than seeing a fire-breathing deity, which is how I felt when watching sàngó when I was nine years old. For those who are unaware, àngó is a Yoruba god who is regarded historically as the third Alaafin of the former Oyo Empire. A movie about him makes sense because he is one of the most powerful Yoruba kings ever, and Obafemi Lasode created and directed one that was released in 1997. The fact that I first saw àngó when I was a little child is one of the key factors in why I fell in love with Yoruba epic movies. When the titular character, played by the towering Wale Adebayo, scattered common grains on the ground and summoned spirits to help him achieve what sounded like an impossible task, I cheered.
