Manchester United squanders a two-goal lead against managerless Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United handed Tottenham a point at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium after losing a two-goal lead under caretaker Ryan Mason. Manchester United lost a two-goal lead against Tottenham in the Premier League, falling to a 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. The Red Devils appeared to be on course for a straightforward victory over Tottenham, who are currently in poor form, but goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford in the first half were cancelled out by two Spurs goals from January acquisition Pedro Porro and Son Heung-Min. The two teams are locked in a battle for UEFA Champions League football next season and manager Erik Ten Hag will be incredibly disappointed that his team have allowed Tottenham a lifeline in that race instead of ending their contention with a victory. His opposite number, 31-year-old Ryan Mason, who is only holding the door open for the next Tottenham boss, will be proud of his team’s achievements in his first match in his second spell as Spurs’ interim boss.
