Arsenal's Arteta sets an undesirable record in the West Ham tie

Arsenal let a two-goal advantage slip against West Ham, breaking an unfavorable Premier League record. With seven games remaining in the season, Mikel Arteta and Arsenal lost more ground on the front-runners as they began to feel the pressure of the final stretch. Arsenal loses to West Ham after leading 2-0. In spite of having a 2-0 lead over West Ham, the Gunners gave up the lead after Jarrod Bowen equalized for the home team less than two minutes after Bukayo Saka missed a penalty that would have made the score 3-1 in favor of Arsenal. Arsenal still leads Manchester City by a slim margin in the Premier League standings, but the Citizens are only four points behind Arsenal and have a game in hand.
