AC Milan were forced to concede points against a tenacious Empoli team. AC Milan gave everything they had, especially late in the game, but Tyrone Ebuehi and his teammates held firm, drawing the defending champions. AC Milan hosted Empoli in an attempt to finish the season as high as possible. However, their visitors demonstrated that they, too, had ambitions, as they turned down a share of the spoils with Milan.
