Switzerland won the right to host the Euros over France and Poland

The cities that will host the UEFA Women's European Championships in 2025 have been revealed. Switzerland has been awarded the rights to host the UEFA Women's European Championships in 2025, according to UEFA. After two rounds of voting, the Swiss defeated France and Poland, as well as a joint bid from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden that advanced to the final round. Prior to the Russian invasion, Ukraine expressed interest in hosting the tournament. In the end, Switzerland defeated the Nordic countries' bid to host Europe's largest women's international prize by a vote of nine to four. Eight Swiss cities are expected to host the 2025 Euros including Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Sion, Lucerne and Thun according to Swiss FA president Dominique Blanc. Blanc was ecstatic wth Switzerland’s win, and declared it a "historic day for Switzerland, the SFA and women's football.”
