Mesut Ozil, a former Real Madrid and Arsenal player, has announced his retirement from football. The 34-year-old spent eight years at the Emirates Stadium after joining from Spanish giants Real Madrid for a fee of £42.5 million in 2013. On Wednesday, Ozil announced his retirement via his official Twitter account (@M10). He won four FA Cups with Arsenal before joining Fenerbahce in January 2021. "After careful consideration, I have decided to retire from professional football."
