Osimhen must win African Best Player — Super Eagles midfielder warns CAF

Nigerians are still arguing for Victor Osimhen, and CAF has declared that its honors, which include the African Footballer of the Year, would be given out. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has received an implicit warning on the upcoming African Footballer of the Year Awards from Super Eagles player John Ogu.The 35-year-old midfielder has made 24 appearances for the Super Eagles and is presently employed by the Israeli team Maccabi Jaffa. Osimhen did not play in Nigeria's 2-0 loss to Madagascar in 2019—the game in which he made his debut.
