Midfielder Aitana Bonmati of Barcelona won the Ballon d'Or after winning the World Cup and the Champions League the previous season. The Women's Ballon d'Or has been won by Barcelona player Aitana Bonmati, following the victories of her teammate Alexia Putellas in the previous two years.The 24-year-old's effort for Barcelona and the Spanish national team was rewarded with an award that was given to her at the Theatre du Chalet in Paris.
