As the kissing scandal continues, the Spanish FA is accused of doctoring Hermoso's statement

The reliability of a statement the Spanish FA issued on Jennifer Hermoso's behalf, clearing Luis Rubiales of any misconduct, is currently under scrutiny because reports suggest that the RFEF issued the statement without the player's consent. In an effort to put out the fire started by its president Luis Rubiales kissing the veteran player on the lips after the World Cup final, the Spanish FA has been charged with publishing a fraudulent statement ascribed to La Roja star Jennifer Hermoso.
