Vogue reveals the theme of this year's Met Gala, which will feature ten world-famous models

The dress code for the 2023 Met Gala is "In honor of Karl." The theme of the 2023 Met Gala is 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,' which pays tribute to Chanel's late creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will host this year's Met Gala on May 1st. Anok Yai, Shalom Harlow, Kendall Jenner, Liu Wen, Adut Akech, Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta, Gigi Hadid, and Devon Aoki are among the ten models Lagerfeld chose for the May issue of Vogue. Ten designers influenced by Lagerfeld's avant-garde creations, including Donatella Versace and Olivier Rousteing, were asked to reimagine it. They designed outfits for the ten models. The exhibition will focus on Lagerfeld's design process and feature over 150 items from his six-decade career at Chanel, Chloé, Fendi, and his eponymous label. Guests will be able to consult Lagerfield's extensive collections and archives from Patou, Chanel, Fendi, Chloé, Balmain, and his eponymous label. The theme of last year's Met Gala was Anthology of Fashion in America. The red carpet highlights included Kim Kardashian wearing Marilyn Monroe's gown and Blake Lively's gown transformation.
