Young women who exemplify Y2K and vintage fashion

When it comes to vintage fashion, these ladies are the ones to beat. Gen Z fashion reflects the most popular fashion trends from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The early 2000s were defined by Y2K fashion, which was popularized by Britney Spears and Destiny's Child. It consists of sassy graphic tees, boots, large belts, beads, double denim, glitter, crop tops, fake fur, sparkles, and low-rise jeans. To create an aggressively loud look, bright colors and cartoonish aesthetics are combined with 2000 pop culture. Reimagined Y2K fashion rejects minimalism and convention. There is a musical subculture in Nigeria known as the alte, short for the word alternative. These people are known for their outlandish fashion sense. The term "altté" was coined by the musical group DRB LasGidi in a song released in 2014 to describe their sound and style.
