Polaris Bank trains 5,000 corps members in digital literacy

According to the bank, the six-month training program would provide fresh graduates with the tools they need to succeed.Polaris Bank Ltd. has announced that it is ready to issue diplomas to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members from 12 different states who have completed a capacity-building training on digital literacy skills.Nduneche Ezurike, the bank's Group Head of Strategic Brand Management, stated this in a statement issued on Saturday in Lagos. Ezurike stated that the high-impact course, which began in November 2022 in collaboration with the NYSC and NerdzFactory, was aimed at 5,000 corps members from 12 Nigerian states. Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Plateau, Delta, Rivers, Enugu, and Imo were among the states he mentioned. According to him, the six-month training program will equip fresh graduates with the necessary skills to thrive. He added that the high-impact training, running across two quarters, comprises courses such as; basic digital literacy; cyber security; data science; product design.Ezurike in the statement said that some of the fresh graduates across the 12 states commended the bank for enhancing their digital literacy skills and preparing them for the emerging opportunities in Nigeria’s digital economy.
