Nigerians to pay more for DStv, GOtv packages as MultiChoice increases subscription rates
According to Multichoice, the increase in DStv and GOtv package prices is attributable to increased business operating costs.MultiChoice Nigeria has announced new DStv and GOtv package prices.The new tariff, which will take effect on May 1, 2023, was communicated to subscribers by text message. The company stated that the increase in DStv and GOtv bundles was due to growing business operating costs. "Please be advised that as of May 1, your monthly subscription (premium) will be N24,500." To keep your old fee of N21,000 for up to 12 months, you must be active by April 30." Pulse understands that the price of the Compact Plus bouquet will rise from N14,250 to N16,600 per month as a result of this development. Monthly subscriptions for Compact will rise from N9,000 to N10,500, while Confam customers would pay N6,200, up from N5,300 previously. Subscriptions for the DStv Yanga and Padi bouquets will be increased to N3,500 and N2,500, respectively, from N2,950 and N2,150. The price of the Supa package for Gotv customers would rise from N5,500 to N6,400, while the price of GOtv Max will rise from N4,150 to N4,850. Furthermore, the GOtv Jolli package subscription fee would climb from N2,800 to N3,300, while the GOtv Jinja and GOtv Lite packages will rise from N1,900 to N2,250 and from N900 to N1,100, respectively.
