Kenyan officials are courting American investors in New York with roadshows
Kenya is now relying on a series of roadshows and meetings in the United States to woo American investors. The Investments, business, and Industry Ministry also wants to use the occasion to improve bilateral ties with the United States by exploring new potential for collaboration in security, business, and investment, among other areas of mutual interest. A Kenyan delegation led by Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria left on Saturday for a trade and investment road show in New York and a bilateral strategic conversation in Washington, D.C., both of which will provide American companies with investment opportunities. The roadshow, with the theme "Why Kenya, Why Africa," aims to draw attention to the potential of investment possibilities in Kenya and Africa as well as the supportive business climate designed for investors. One technique used by the Kenyan government to increase foreign direct investment from $500 million (Sh67.1 billion) in 2022 to $10 billion (Sh1.34 trillion) this year is to make presentations to investors at high-level gatherings, international conferences, and roadshows. CS Kuria, along with other international leaders, will attend the 26th annual Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles. He will speak at the conference, which will draw over 4,000 people from all over the world.
