The Russia-Ukraine conflict should drive Africa's food production- Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said on Monday in London, United Kingdom, that the lingering crisis between Russia and Ukraine should serve as a wake-up call for African countries to prioritize food self-sufficiency. He also stated that digitisation is Africa's best chance to make significant progress in the global scheme of things. "The economic fallout of the war for us in Africa should be an introspective moment on the issue of self sufficiency in food production," Osinbajo told a large audience at King's College London's Africa Leadership Centre, which included academics, scholars, researchers, faculty, and students. Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, revealed this in a statement issued on Tuesday titled "How Africa Can Prosper in an Increasingly Complex World,"  by Osinbajo.’
