DisCos are unable to deliver more than 1,000MW of power in a 14-day period

This comes as Nigerians continue to endure frequent blackouts. It has been alleged that between February 1 and February 14, 2024, 1,769.91 megawatts of power transferred by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) were not utilized by power Distribution Companies (DisCos). This occurs in the midst of Nigerians suffering constant blackouts and the northern region's energy infrastructure being destroyed.TCN data indicates that several DisCos were assigned extra electrical demand during the time, yet they did not use the allotted energy volume.
