Nigeria and Elon Musk's Starlink are in talks to generate jobs in Nigeria

Elon Musk's Starlink and the Federal Government of Nigeria have begun talks about establishing initiatives that will generate jobs in Nigeria through local hardware production and maintenance.The talks took place with Ryan Goodnight, Senior Director of Global Licensing and Activation of SpaceX, outside of the ongoing International Telecommunication Union-World Radio Communication (ITU-WRC) Conference in Dubai.This was revealed on Sunday by Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, using his verified X handle.What the minister said: “Excellent conversation with Ryan Goodnight, Snr. Director, Global Licensing & Activation of @SpaceX on the sidelines of ITU-WRC 23, who shared that Nigeria is their biggest market in Africa. As demand for @Starlink continues to grow in Nigeria, we discussed connecting unserved and underserved Nigerians,” he stated.
