UBA and AfCFTA's $6 billion collaboration will increase trade throughout Africa

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, the continent's global bank, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing intra-African commerce in order to achieve economic development and self-sufficiency.The bank asserts that Africa must proceed cautiously with its efforts to unleash its economy.This was stated by Muyiwa Akinyemi, the deputy managing director of UBA, at the 37th Lagos International Trade Fair's Africa Day celebration, which was held at Tafawa Balewa Square. The main sponsor of the trade show is UBA. Akinyemi clarified that the bank's recent agreement with the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat to provide financing for up to US$6 billion over the next three years to qualified businesses across the continent was motivated by its commitment to SME's and trade advancement throughout Africa.
