NNPCL restores 275,000 barrels of oil, settles operators/unions lingering rift

After the NNPCL-mediated peace agreement, the unions and oil operators decided to cease their current industrial action, which allowed production to return to 275,000 barrels per day.The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPCL) has settled a long-standing dispute between oil operators and unions, allowing it to resume producing 275 000 barrels of oil per day (bpd).A peace agreement between the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN), the NNPC/Total JV operator, and the management of TotalEnergies was mediated by NNPC Ltd. on Sunday.The communiqué states that the oil operators and unions decided to halt continuing industrial action in response to the peace agreement mediated by NNPC Ltd., which would immediately restore production of 275,000 barrels per day.
