FG and Access Bank pledge ?30 billion to help 4 million women-owned MSMEs

In order to support the four million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), women's, and youth-owned businesses in Nigeria, Access Bank P.lc. has partnered with the Office of the Vice-President to provide N30 billion. He said that the bank had designed four different programs to benefit the MSMEs in the nation.Roosevelt Ogbonna, the bank's group managing director, disclosed this to reporters on Friday in Abuja following a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa. Ogbonna stated that the bank has been assisting MSMEs and women for the previous 16 to 17 years, and that the funds will be given to the MSMEs at discounted rates. He said that the vice president had directed the bank to give priority to women, saying, ” Shettima has a bias for women as we do.
