Google brings generative AI to Search in Africa

Starting today, Google Search will provide the Search Generative Experience (SGE) through an opt-in experiment in Search Labs.As an opt-in experiment in Search Labs, Google is now launching its Search Generative Experience ("SGE") in the SSA region. This artificial intelligence experience is offered in English. Thanks to recent advances in generative AI, Google is redefining the possibilities for search engines and introducing these potent new features to Search in a responsible and daring manner. This potent new technology changes the way material is arranged in Search to assist users in sorting through and making sense of the vast amount of information available. It can also open up completely new kinds of questions that Search was previously unable to address.
