Emzor strengthens its medical independence with a €13.85 million European Investment Bank financing agreement

Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Nigeria's largest domestic pharmaceutical company, and the European Investment Bank have inked a €13.85 million financing agreement to increase local production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and bring the country closer to medication self-sufficiency.The agreement was finalized during Thursday's Strategic Meeting between Nigeria and the European Union at the Presidential Villa."Today marks yet another milestone in the annals of the EU-Nigeria development cooperation," remarked Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the honorable minister of budget and economic planning, during his speech at the conference. In terms of volume, thematic interventions, modalities, and geographic distribution of resource deployment, the EU-Nigeria relationship is among the most active development partnerships."The EU-Nigeria Strategic Dialogue is happening at the take-off of the current Administration in Nigeria and presents opportunities for proper articulation and consolidation of priorities in our partnership."
