FG, IFAD, and others collaborate to increase the nation's food output

Additionally, IFAD reiterates its commitment to helping small-scale farmers.On Monday, the Federal Government reaffirmed its dedication to working in collaboration with pertinent stakeholders to increase food production in the nation.Sen. Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, reportedly made this statement during a Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone Program (SAPZ) event in Kano that was put on by the department in coordination with IFAD and the IsDB. The Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone SAPZ Program, according to Kyari, who was represented by the Director of the Ministry's Projects Coordinating Unit, Musa Bukar, is intended to promote the creation of programs that aim to increase high food production. He said the programme would help in creating Agro Industrial Hubs and Agricultural Transformation centres through the provision of support infrastructure and policy regulatory incentives for the private sector. This, he said was led by African Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank.
