According to a study, Nigerians are Canada's second-largest source of tech migrants

According to studies from The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) and Canada's IT Network (CTN), Nigeria is the second-largest source of IT skills specialists arriving in Canada. An article by Nairametrics claims that Canada continues to get a substantial net inflow of IT talent, especially from Brazil, India, and Nigeria. The sector has experienced a growth as a result. This is seen in the number of people the IT sector attracted to Canada between April 2022 and March 2023. According to the report, more than 32,000 individuals from the international IT sector arrived in Canada in quest of employment. Another issue is the expansion of American tech companies' investments in Canada. This analysis shows that Canada has been effective in drawing a substantial migration of IT specialists, in large part because of its laws that encourage immigration and affordable labor.
