Naira had a bad week's end

Friday saw the Naira depreciate against the dollar, trading at N461.50 at the Investors and Exporters window. Compared to the N461 it swapped for when it exchanged to the dollar on Thursday, the rate indicated a loss of 0.11 percent. On Friday, the open indicative rate reached a high of N461.50 to the dollar. Before it settled at N461.50, the highest exchange rate to the dollar throughout the day's trade was N462.44. In the course of the day's trade, the Naira dropped as low as N446 to the dollar. Trading in the official Investors' and Exporters' window totaled US$ 82.56 million.
