Tanzanite auction house worth Sh5.4 Billion nears completion
An elegant tanzanite auction house in Mererani that cost Sh5.4 billion to construct is nearly ready. The unique, rare minerals that were found there will only be available at the trade center, where domestic and foreign buyers can bid on them.Minister of Lands, Housing, and Human Settlements Development Angeline Mabula stated her satisfaction with the project's progress during an inspection visit to the construction site. The minister stated, "This will be the only location where tanzanite will be sold to customers, thereby alleviating the hardship of traveling great distances to sell the material. She pushed merchants of tanzanite to tell potential customers that the stone is only mined in Mererani in the Simanjiro District, Manyara Region. The Minister assured the public that the multi-billion shilling construction complex will be finished shortly for the benefit of all types of gemstone exporters and dealers.
