Seychelles tightens border measures for Nigerian travelers
Seychelles has imposed stricter border restrictions, requiring more extensive screening before admitting Nigerian passport holders.During a press conference, Seychelles Vice President Ahmed Afif stated that Nigerians with diplomatic passports and those with legal work or residency permits issued by Seychelles will be allowed entry. "When we checked the payments made for them to come to Seychelles, we discovered that they came from only one source." This is for different persons to come on different days, demonstrating an organized syndicate. In recent months, the administration has observed "a trend that we have deemed as dangerous for our border control and economy, as a result of criminal activities occurring in the country." According to the vice president. “We have seen a clear link between this with certain people from Nigeria. In the past two weeks, for example, 13 people coming from Nigeria have been arrested when entering Seychelles because they were carrying drugs into the country,” he added
