Tinubu signs the student loan bill into law

The money will only be available to poor tertiary students at interest-free rates.The student loan measure has been signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.Dele Alake, a presidential assistant, revealed this to State House Correspondents on Monday, June 12, 2023. According to Alake, the money would be housed at the Ministry of Education and will only be available to destitute tertiary students at interest-free rates. Two weeks ago, the House passed the third reading of a student loan bill sponsored by Femi Gbajabiamila, the immediate-past Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives.
